Amy Turns the big 30

This weekend was the big celebration for my lovely & youthful wife Amy!
It was a great party - we had over 25 friends and family at the event.

Amy loves all her nieces and nephews - and they loved blowing out most of her birthday candles.

In addition the birthday girl, we had another notable guest at the party. Lola Green - The star of jengreeninjapan Lola & More. We have a picture of Lola commenting on having to wait another 2 weeks for her dad to join her and mom here in Washington.

Rainy Seattle

I've been using metro transit lately. Here are a couple pictures of the beautiful and wet!!! (for Johnny) Seattle bus stop. I wonder if St. Louis will be this wet?

Visiting St. Louis

This last week, Amy and I visited St. Louis. I have applied at Covenant Theological Seminary located just outside the city. I intend to pursue a Master of Divinity Degree!! I have submitted all the requirements and should find out if I am accepted early next week! This will be a huge answer to prayer, particularly since I do not have an undergraduate degree. We spent some time sitting in class, interviewing staff and students. We are excited at the possibilities. On the last day, Amy and I visited the St. Louis arch.... the "Gateway to the West".

Let the Allen Blogging Begin!!!

Amy is in the air en route to Seattle on American Airlines.

I am flying with United Airlines because I got a $10.00 ticket!! When one pays $10.00 for a ticket, they should expect a layover... and such is the case for me! I am sitting in the Denver airport - and with all this extra time (2 1/2 hours) on my hands - I decided to start a blog!

You may ask... why start a blog? You have no exceedingly cute children to show case. Surely you will not be able to compete with the blog ratings of un-named relatives who live in foreign countries and have a last name that rhymes with lean or mean 0r bean 0r scene.

Well that may be true - but it MIGHT NOT BE TRUE - HA!
So just try and stop me. Hahahahahaaaaaaaaaaargh Haaa Haa Haa Ha.
